Team Steele Picks Up Win #5

HARRIS, NC (June 28, 2008) – This weekend Team Steele made their way back to Harris Speedway located in the center of Harris, NC and it paid off. After practice, Chris said, “The car was awesome, actually the best it’s been all year!” And to top it off, Chris drew outside pole for his heat race and went on to win it with ease. This put the familiar yellow #2 on the outside pole for the feature beside the 12-year old standout Zach Mitchell who won the first heat.  

At the drop of the green, Steele took the lead and never looked back, but Mitchell wasn’t giving up so easily. Chris said, “I heard him beside me one time so I knew I couldn’t slip any or he would pass us for the lead.” Chris went on to win the feature followed by Mitchell, Joey Phillips, Travis Blackwell and Douglas Davis rounded out the top five of the 15 cars on hand for the evening’s event. Look for the team to take the Renegade car to Lancaster Speedway on July 5th and back to I-77 Speedway on July 12th.
