Team Steele Back in Victory Lane!

GASTONIA, NC (May 30, 2008) – The Team Steele pit crew decided they wanted to take the Renegade car back to Carolina since they were having a special race paying double purse. Chris said, “Whatever you guys want to do is fine with me, as long as I’m racing something”.

They were lucky once again as they drew outside pole position for the second heat race of the evening. There were 25 Renegade cars on hand for this race event and some good ones too. Chris lead every lap of the heat race, giving him the outside pole position for the main event. When the green flag waved, Chris jumped out front and never looked back as he led the entire race. A hard charging Joe Johnson Jr. was coming hard and fast though. Chris said, “I seen him coming in the mirror and he even got up beside me one time almost passing me, but we lucky when the caution flag flew and were saved”. After the race the left rear tire on the Steele machine went flat where Johnson got into it one time and put a small slit in it. The team has raced two special paying races at Carolina Speedway with this car and won both times. “Not to bad”, Chris chuckled.
